Mastering Life through Healing with Dr. Jeff Kahrs

Mastering life is about finding solutions and resolving issues we encounter on our journey. My business coach, Kathy Brandon, the Happiness Chick from the Ready for Happiness Group, told me that God puts things in our lives so that when we find a resolution for it, when we overcome it, we then feel compelled to share that with the world; it becomes our gift to society. Promoting the solution becomes our way of mastering life. When we are on a mission to be physically better, to change and become healthier, so that we can be of better service in the world, we find solutions that permeate our life and, in the process of sharing those with others, we ourselves become healed. I find this very peculiar, that getting well requires sharing, educating, and ultimately...

I Think I Can: Mastering Life with Kilimanjaro Mission Hospital

Ever heard of The Little Engine That Could? I thought about this story when I read the news that the fundraiser for Kilimanjaro Mission Hospital received a donation of $5,000. Originally, the goal was to raise $10,000. They had received $1,330 prior to this contribution, which was half of their desired amount, making a total of $6,330 to date. Mastering life with Kilimanjaro Mission Hospital is like the story of The Little Engine That Could. Published in 1930, by Platt and Munk, inspiring children with its message of hope, this story was named one of Teachers’ Top 100 Books for Children by the National Education Association in 2007. Describing a small switch engine that cheerfully pulls a few cars on and off the switches, the story relates how one day,  all...

Mastering Life with Affirmations

Mastering Life with Affirmations

Mastering life with affirmations communicates the message to our subconscious mind of what we want in our life because it is stated in the present, which is the tense best assimilated by our mind. Repeating these positive statements when we first wake up or prior to falling asleep clearly sends a message to the automatic processor, the brain. Since our mind does not know anything but the message we instill in it, this system goes to work to produce the results of the statements we repeat to ourselves. Positive affirmations work even when I have not been religiously faithful about reading them. The following series of positive statements were written to help my subconscious mind suss out my life purpose: I am finally free to be myself. I am passionate, interested,...

Mastering Life by Reflecting on Scripture

Mastering Life by Reflecting on Scripture

Why am I creating this business and pursuing a life long dream of becoming successful? What challenge in the world is in need of my voice? What do I believe in so emphatically that would cause me to do something radical like go off to Kenya? The Word of God is my home base. From my earliest memory, I was taught and memorized the scriptures. Mastering life comes through reflecting on scripture. Truth lies in the Bible. There is no other place where I can go for solace, comfort, solidity, assurance, strength, continuity, or future hope. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the...

Mastering Life: Why Kenya?

Mastering Life: Why Kenya?

Why would Dr. Warren Bruhl leave one of the largest chiropractic practices on the North Shore of Chicago, which he personally developed, building and leading to its success, for work with a humanitarian organization that provides education, healthcare, and humanitarian aid to the people of the Kimana Rift Valley of Kenya? Mastering life is about understanding why an individual would pursue a particular course of action, which is far more motivating to those who are potentially interested in aligning with that person for the purpose of assisting them in their cause. Certainly, Dr. Jeff Kahrs has assessed the situation and been inspired by what he has seen of the work that Dr. Bruhl is doing in Kenya. The questions he may have had about the work, the importance...

Mastering Life: Why Dr. Warren Bruhl?

Mastering Life: Why Dr. Warren Bruhl?

Mastering life means understanding why you are doing what you are doing and why you are doing it with the people who are currently in your life. Often we do not stop to think about it, we just do it because it feels right. However, when other people begin getting involved in what we are doing, they want to know why; describing it becomes difficult because it is so obvious to those of us who have spent a life time figuring it out. Answering the question, “Why Simmons Chiropractic Clinic?” clarified the intentions of that organization and illuminated why they stand out among those offering chiropractic care. Summarizing those ideas helps to solidify their unique purpose on this earth and explain why their patients are naturally attracted to seek and...
