Mastering Life by Reflecting on Scripture
  • Why am I creating this business and pursuing a life long dream of becoming successful?
  • What challenge in the world is in need of my voice?
  • What do I believe in so emphatically that would cause me to do something radical like go off to Kenya?

The Word of God is my home base. From my earliest memory, I was taught and memorized the scriptures. Mastering life comes through reflecting on scripture. Truth lies in the Bible. There is no other place where I can go for solace, comfort, solidity, assurance, strength, continuity, or future hope.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. –John 1:1-4

The challenge in the world today is that people lack the ability to use the Word of God in a cohesive way. If they did, they might have an incredible life and figure out solutions to their issues. I want to present the Word of God back to the world. God has provided me this website as one way to make that happen.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works. –II Timothy 3:16

I clarify and interpret God’s Word to those who are eager to find success in completing the mission God put them on this earth to fulfill. I help individuals see themselves in the light of scripture and show them how to use the Word of God to become self-sufficient.

I compare traditional and new age thinking to the Word of God, threshing out the chaff and determining what is valid. I walk humbly down the middle of these two extremes like crossing the Red Sea with towering water on each side. God told Moses, “Stand and see the salvation of the Lord.” I stand solely on what God says is the truth.

I stand on the Word of God. I feel that this is the strength from which I receive the power to do anything of significance in the world. I am not attached to being powerful, popular, celebrated, or renowned. I DO care that the Word of God is honored and revered.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account. –Hebrews 4:12

People are uncomfortable with the Word of God because it is sharp. They do not realize it can take any shape; small, medium, large–you can wield it according to the problem you have in your mind. For example, in mastering life by reflecting on scripture, I used one small verse in Mark 11:22 about saying to the mountain to be removed, to equate to a very large mountain in my life, which God removed.

Conversely, I can take a large portion of scripture, like the book of Ruth, to relate to one small idea, like changing our thinking. In either case, large or small, here or in Kenya, the Word of God is relevant, applicable, and severs the uncertainty from our thinking so that we can clearly see our path.

For example, in the world today, we have debt, riches, poverty, wealth, and abundance, which all seems to be spread around unevenly. My premise is that the inverse of debt or poverty is not riches, but sufficiency, which the scripture reveals emphatically. This concept can withstand examination because it is firmly rooted in the scriptures.

  • I am creating this business and pursuing a life of success because I wholeheartedly believe in the Word of God  and its applicability to our life.
  • I see that the challenge in the world in need of my voice is to articulate how to do that.
  • I believe in this idea so emphatically that mastering life by reflecting on scripture compels me to do something radical like go off to Kenya!
