Ode to Friendship

Ode to Friendship

There’s a 1,000 things

I love to do–

None as much

as converse with you.

In all the world,

there’s none I’ve found

Quite as much

to turn around–

And whether it’s trite

or monumental,

You really appreciate

the sentimental.

Here’s to friendship

for eternity

And gratitude

abundantly–

For all the amazing things

we’ve shared

And the opportunity

to have cared.

“The sky’s the limit,”

so they say.

I’ll settle for heaven

come what may.

And then I’ll still

have dedication

to my friend

in conversation.
