The Teachable Spirit of Happy Goldilocks

Being happy in your spirit has to do with understanding what you need or what you lack before you can ever decide what makes you happy. The teachable spirit knows that experiencing hunger, tiredness, or discomfort is the prerequisite for determining what makes you happy. Consider Goldilocks for a moment. Finding the house in the forest occurred when she was hungry. Tasting the three bowls of porridge led to observing: one was too hot one was too cold one was just right Feeling tired led to seeking which chair would best accommodate her need. She thought that the first two chairs were too big and the third one was just right. Sitting in it; however, caused the chair to break, leading to more discomfort. Climbing the stairs in search of a better solution, she...

Desire vs. Want with the Teachable Spirit

What is the difference between desire and want? What word bridges the gap between desire and want? How can the definition help the teachable spirit? Recently, I have been reading a marvelous book entitled A Happy Pocket Full of Money written by David Cameron Gikandi, who happens to be from Kenya. Among other things, David Cameron Gikandi was a creative consultant on “The Secret,” a 2006 bestselling film documentary based on Rhonda Byrne’s book of the same title. Visiting Ingrid with the Teachable Spirit

What has happened since the teachable spirit went to Kenya in 2013? Who visited Ingrid with the teachable spirit in 2015? What did they do while they were there? Stepping foot onto the property where Ingrid Education Centre is located after nearly two years absence filled the teachable spirit with an incredible sense of excitement and joy. I could not believe what the director, Douglas Monene, had accomplished in such a short time! The school is double in size and has a second story added to the first, finished latrines, a kitchen, nice office, and a place for the security guard to sleep at night. Experiencing that joy with me were individuals participating in a mission with Dreamweaver International; Dr. Warren Bruhl, the director, Ken and Sandy Taylor, Dr....
