Encouraging Growth with Passover

Passover, otherwise known as Pesach in Hebrew, is the first Festival of the Lord in the spring, which falls on the 14th of Nissan. This year, that happens to be the 14th of April (2014). Passover has a prophetic and personal application, encouraging growth in the life of the believer. Yeshua (Jesus) died on the afternoon of the 14th of Nissan, at 3:00 p.m., fulfilling prophecy. At the exact moment that the High Priest said, “It is finished,” Yeshua (Jesus) echoed the same sentiment on the cross: When Yeshua (Jesus) had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. –John 19:30 What was finished? Joy: Reflecting on Scripture

Have you ever anticipated an event with great excitement? Did you put a huge amount of preparation into getting ready for this event?  And when it was over, were you disappointed that it ended? Did you feel sad after it was over? Was it hard to get back into your regular routine? Recently, I had the opportunity to go out with a friend and participate in a social activity. Representing an extremely rare opportunity for me and desiring to make the most of it, I threw myself into preparation because, in my opinion, planning always increases the enjoyment of any event.
