Encouraging Growth: Why Kilimanjaro Mission Hospital?

Why is the Kilimanjaro Mission Hospital so vital to those living in the region of the Kimana Rift Valley? What makes it such a valuable resource in which to contribute resources of finances and time? Dreamweaver International was created by Dr. Warren Bruhl for encouraging growth in the work that his parents, Ken and Sandy Taylor, had started in the Kimana Rift Valley working among the Maasai and other residents of the region 22 years ago. Due to lingering discrimination and lack of domestic support, the Masaai often find themselves without the resources to handle issues that arise in taking up the challenge of integrating into mainstream society. Encouraging Growth: Why Kimana School of Leadership?

Why is the Kimana School of Leadership and Professional Studies (KSLPS) significant to the Kimana Rift Valley? How do they impact the population they serve? Overcoming ADHD in his youth, sports helped A LOT in equalizing his life to: motivate him to...

Meeting Dr. Jeff Kahrs: Understanding the Experiences of Life

Feeling the need to return to chiropractic care, I called the office of Dr. Dean Simmons, whom I had known for over twenty years. Understanding that Dr. Dean would not be doing the initial interview, but I could continue receiving care from him afterwards, I met Dr. Jeff Kahrs for the first time. I found him to be personable, attentive, and reflective regarding his work, his life, and his role in the universe. Mentioning that he was traveling to Kenya in December 2013 set off sparks of excitement between us and exclamations on my part; I had traveled to Kenya in October 2012, and again in January/February 2013. Moving from the energy level of, “just another doctor’s visit” to “OMG! YOU ARE GOING TO KENYA!?!” created quite a stir in the office with...
