How do we define success? Is there a formula for success? What does it mean to be successful? Reflecting on scripture, we see in Psalm chapter one that an individual is successful when: he/she does not walk in the counsel of the wicked he/she does not stand in the way of sinners he/she does not sit in the seat of scorners Conversely, we could also say that an individual is successful when: he/she walks in the counsel of the righteous he/she stands in the way of saints he/she sits in the seat of the respectful In either case, these express action as well as progression, which reminds me of an expression I have coined: The more you do something, the more capacity you have to do it. Values of Faith: Encouraging Growth

In a conversation with a friend, I was asked what my values were regarding the Lord. Desiring to respond in an articulate manner, I wrote down what I felt were the motivating qualities of my relationship with God, anticipating that I would find other believers who felt the same. My values in practicing my faith and for encouraging growth are: Following Him means keeping the Sabbath and the Feasts of the Lord. The gifts of the Spirit are still for us today. Repentance is necessary to promote healing of generational sins. A personal relationship with Him is pivotal to changing the believer.
