Character Development with Job

What do YOU use to help you get through trials and tribulations? Personally, I have had some huge trials in my life that took years to resolve. I have used a variety of techniques to help me with character development as I went through those situations. One in particular that provided perhaps the best insight was reflecting on the story of Job. In the beginning of the book of Job, God says, “Have you considered my servant, Job?” I hear pride in the tone of God’s voice, and the desire to point Job out as exceptional. Essentially, the response is, “You have him so well protected!” God seems to take this as a personal challenge; apparently, He really believes in Job and feels that he will stand up to whatever comes his way.
